Exclusive Cuisine at the Breidenbacher Hof - Gault Millau awards Brasserie "1806"
The team of the Brasserie "1806" at the Breidenbacher Hof has reason to celebrate: The renowned culinary guide Gault Millau awarded the restaurant with 15 points. This rating puts the Breidenbacher Hof at the top of the hotel restaurants in Düsseldorf.
With this award, head chef Michael Reinhardt has managed to achieve culinary honors within the second year after the re-opening of the hotel. The team around Reinhardt, Sous Chef Phillipp Ferber and Restaurant Manager Mathias Däubler, especially impressed the critics with their high-quality local cuisine, which "pleasantly sets itself apart from those of other international hotel groups”. For example, the menu offers regional specialities, like two small Wiener Schnitzel with warm potato salad or the famous "Breidenbacher Frikadelle” with truffles, but also special dishes like a caviar medley or the opulent seafood platter.
"Naturally it is a great honor that Gault Millau has awarded us 15 points," rejoices Cyrus Heydarian, General Manager of the Breidenbacher Hof. "However, the Brasserie "1806" does not strive to be some kind of stiff gourmet restaurant, but offers excellent cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere. Nevertheless we are thrilled that the critics seem to appreciate our concept and that our regional specialities have such great appeal. An important award like this is motivation for our whole team,” explains Heydarian. "At the same time it gives us an incentive to continue to fulfil our guests’ great expectations.”
Especially for local guests from Düsseldorf, the Brasserie "1806” offers the Plat du Jour, a daily lunch menu for affordable 19,00 Euro. On weeknights, the Culinary After Work is ideal to relax and unwind after a long day at the office: Changing menus and culinary highlights are available from 6.30 pm to 7.30 pm for the price of 19,00 Euro per person.
