Luxurious Rooms, Beautiful Views and Courteous Staff

We are a family of 7 with a toddler. and we booked two Premier rooms and one Sentosa Suite for
a few days. We were a bit worried as we assumed that the hotel is not that kid friendly. I called ahead a few times to warn them that we will be checking in with a rather fussy toddler and was hoping that we could at least check in early in one of the rooms. Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised that they have prepared all our rooms early and we could relax almost immediately. The staff welcomed us into our rooms and explained all the amenities. Everything in the room refrigerator is complimentary (soft drinks, juice, water), nespresso coffee is available, sparkling water is provided every night, and butter cookies by the bedside. Their staff are well trained, helpful but not intrusive. The rooms are one of most well interiored that we have seen. Imagine that they have a checklist of the best stuff that a hotel room could have.. they followed the list to the letter. No cut corners. The attention that they pay to the details is inspiring. It's one of those rooms that look better in reality versus the picture in their website. One slight observation though is that they sacrificed a bit of the function for the aesthetics. The wash basin is located right behind the bed behind a wall with wooden slats. Washing your hands in the middle of the night can be a bit noisy. Overall design still looks gorgeous though.

Breakfast is good. There's not a lot of variety but whatever's there is fresh and tastes great. Cold foods are set out on the tables and hot foods to be ordered and served individually. Try the congee, it's pretty good. Loved the scones too.

The infinity pool is wonderful. We had a swim there with my 1 year old son. Was afraid that the water might be too cold, but the water was just perfect. I wondered if they heated the pool to a lukewarm temp. There are also day trippers that uses the pool in the afternoon. Suggest you use it in the mornings or weekdays for more privacy.

We also tried the Auriga Spa, the massage beds are heated and the masseuses are skilled. I can't say much more because i fell asleep ten minutes into the massage. totally relaxing.

Overall, we would go back to this hotel again and again.

Best Hotel In Singapore!

We stayed at Capella from Sep 12-14. In fact, I am writing this review at Knolls, where we are having breakfast prior to our departure.

This is an amazing hotel! We originally book a 2-bedroom villa but eventually upgraded to a 3-bedroom manor (with private pool) at a discounted rate of S$2,200 per night (instead of S$2,500).

And we have no regrets! The manor (Manor 1) was excellent, as was the service, attention, amenities, etc. Being closed to Universal Studios is another plus point!

If you are ever in Singapore, stay at Capella! Without a doubt, it's the the best - and only 6 star hotel - in Singapore!

Outstanding quality and service

We stayed at the hotel in a Manor (3 bedroom residence with private pool) for 3 nights. It was a peaceful haven in bustling Singapore. The staff provided outstanding service and were very courteous. For example, we requested "Singapore's best satays" to be brought to our Manor for in-room dining and the personal assistant organised it all for us (including pick up and delivery of the satays from a specialist restaurant). The acconmmodation was first class - perfect for our extended family reunion and for hosting guests. Rooms were spacious, well-equipped and comfortable.

5/5 scores for this hotel

Efficient and friendly staff along with well equipped rooms at an excellent location makes the hotel a desirable venue. The room was of a big size, with a nice bathroom. The whole hotel is very clean. The restaurant has a nice breakfast and a very beautiful decoration.

Pampered relaxation

This hotel was a last minute booking and recommended by our travel agent. We normally stay at the Shangri La Rasa, which is currently undergoing renovation, so we were looking for an alternative. The moment of arrival we knew the seven day stay was going to be fantastic. We were warmly greeted on arrival and automatically given an upgrade to a long stay residence, with separate lounge and kitchen. We had booked a garden villa but it was fantastic to get the upgrade especially as it then came with a sea view.

The hotel is set in beautiful grounds and is a contrast between the reserved colonial style buildings and the Norman Foster designed additions. With four swimming pools there was no lack of space for us to relax, although we chose to use the club pool as it was very quiet and meant we got even better attention. The odd loud small child was also running round the hotel grounds and being at the club pool meant that we could normally avoid them.

The food was of an excellent standard and the breakfast was always a surprise. There was a great choice on the buffet and this was complemented by additional dishes brought around by one of the waiting staff.

We would absolutely stay here again and look forward to our next return
