Singapore, 27 March 2012 – Spa time at Auriga Spa at Capella Singapore is not just for the women but for men as well. This June, Auriga Spa launches the all new Auriga De-stress treatment which has been specially designed with the busy gentleman in mind.

The Auriga De-stress treatment will focus on areas most affected by stress and a busy lifestyle, providing guests the much-needed release of the built-up tension in the upper body.

The treatment will begin with a refreshing Eucalyptus foot compress and a specialised massage focusing on specific pressure points on the back of the legs. A soothing back, shoulder and neck massage will follow, extending all the way up to the head and scalp for a complete relief of tension.

The massage uses medium to deep pressure and muscle releasing techniques with special oils of Arnica, Wintergreen and Ginger, which are known for their abilities to soothe muscle aches and pains. The treatment concludes with a refreshing facial cleansing ritual, using a warm chamomile and cool cucumber eye compresses followed by an acupressure point massage on the face and scalp.

The Auriga De-stress treatment will be available at Auriga Spa from 1 June 2012 and is priced at S$220++ for 90 minutes.

The effects of stress are often manifested in mild, nagging aches in the upper back between the shoulder blades and the neck. This is usually the result of spending too much time seated in front of a computer and is made worse by improper posture. Stress also causes a build up of toxins in the muscles causing the aches and lethargy that one feels. The Auriga De-stress treatment focuses on releasing the tightened muscles in those stress prone areas and encouraging total relaxation so that guests feel refreshed and revitalised.

Auriga Spa currently offers other treatments specially designed for men. The Golfers Massage, priced at S$150++ or S$220++ for 60 minutes or 90 minutes respectively, involves a full body deep tissue massage which is ideal to ease tired muscles especially after strenuous physical activities such as golf. The Organic Pharmacy Gentleman’s Facial, priced at S$140++ for 60 minutes, is a deep-cleansing and revitalising facial specially attuned to the needs of men. The Gentlemen’s Facial is further complimented by a massage of the feet, scalp and arms.
