Capella Singapore is set to partner with two-starred Michelin Chef Tom Kerridge for a series of unforgettable events.

Singapore, 15 May 2012 – Due to strong interest Capella Singapore will be extending the public dinner events to include to dinner seatings held on 25 and 26 May 2012.

In a nod to Capella Singapore’s rich colonial heritage as the Royal Artillery Officers’ Mess since the 1880s, Capella Singapore has invited quintessential British Celebrity Chef, Tom Kerridge, to helm the kitchen for five public dining events at Capella Singapore on 25, 26 27, 29 and 30 May 2012.

Chef Tom Kerridge will be bringing to diners his expertise and finesse as the owner and chef of Two Michelin-starred Hand & Flowers restaurant and bar in Marlow, Buckinghamshire, which he opened with his wife in 2005. He has also appeared on TV shows such as Market Kitchen and Market Kitchen's Big Adventure and has competed and won the main course twice on BBC2's Great British Menu.

Chef Tom will be working together with Capella’s own Executive Chef, Jakob Esko, with his own pedigree background. Chef Jakob began his foray into the culinary scene as a chef at Michelin –Star Restaurant ‘Sihlhalde’ in Zurich, Switzerland. Soon after he was appointed as Chef de Cuisine at one of the best restaurants in Sweden, the legendary Ulriksdals Wärdshus; which incidentally owns the world’s finest wine collection according to the Guinness Book of World records in 2001.

Since then, Chef Jakob has built up an impressive international portfolio by working in some of the best Michelin-Star restaurants in England, France, Switzerland and Spain.

Starting the series off will be an unforgettable buffet Sunday champagne brunch on 27 May with signature items from Chef Tom’s famous Sunday Lunch menu at Hand & Flowers restaurant, Brunch Pork- with Red Chicory and Turnip Puree, Fish and Chips and a Slow Cooked Duck with duck fat chips and gravy among others.

Guests will able to enjoy these classic English dishes together with other signature brunch items from The Knolls’ menu which include, sea-bass in a salt-crust, crispy Spanish suckling pig and entrecote with foie gras.

On 29 and 30 May 2012, Chef Tom, together with Chef Jakob, will be presenting two exclusively crafted menus for both lunch and dinner. Menus below:

25, 26 May 2012, dinner is priced at S$178++ per person without wine and S$258++ with wine.

27 May 2012, Sunday Brunch prices are from S$188++ per person, inclusive of champagne, rose wines and international boutique beers.

29 and 30 May 2012, lunch is priced at S$98++ per person and dinner is priced at S$178++ per person without wine and S$258++ with wine.
