Description: Join three passionate winemakers from France, Spain and Austria at Cassia at Capella Singapore as they share with you the intricate pairing of cool climate wines such as Riesling and Gruner Veltiner and hearty verdejo grape whites from Spain. The wines will be paired with traditional and haute technique Cantonese dishes that take inspiration from the age-old spice routes in Southern and Western China and the seas around Singapore. A white themed lunch, guests are invited to come dressed in their best white outfit, a matching fit with the white wines on showcase.

Description Bringing to Singapore the very best of Provence, Two star Michelin Chef, Jean–Andre Charial will present to culinary connoisseurs a five-course gourmet lunch with accompanying wines from the South of France. Close to his heart, this charismatic region centered on the cities of Avignon, Nimes and Montpellier is the epicentre of epicurean pursuit. Winemakers from Pic Saint Loup & Costieres de Nimes who have tamed this sunny and aromatic region will present five complementary red wines that reflect the terroir’s art of living.

Located at Bob’s Bar, Capella Singapore, you will be in for an unforgettable evening under the stars with no less than six Italian winemakers showcasing a beautiful array of 16 wines from six different regions across Italy, canapes and tapas prepared by Michelin Chef Jean –Andre Charial. SOUTH OF FRANCE WINE DINNER WITH MICHELIN CHEF ANDRE CHARIAL

Description: For over 60 years, royalty and celebrities such as Queen Elizabeth, Hugh Grant, Bono, and Johnny Depp, to name a few, have been drawn to the mecca of French cuisine, L'Oustau de Baumanière. Currently owned and helmed by Chef Andre Charial, L'Oustau de Baumanière is truly a French icon.
For one night only in Singapore, guests will be able to enjoy the very best cuisine and wine from the South of France, even tasting wines from Chef Charial’s own collection. These include the famous Alain Graillot’s handmade Crozes Hermitages and Christophe Peyrus’s charismatic Pic Saint Loup red wines.

Description: Changing the game of regular wine tastings, the Vintner’s Tour Great Wine Treasure Hunt presents a new and novel way of enjoying wine. With 8 wine stations, 50 appellations, more than 200 wines to taste and an exciting trip to Europe to hunt for, you will be in for an unforgettable afternoon.
With a map and questionnaire in hand, explore Capella Singapore’s sprawling grounds while searching for various themed stations helmed by groups of winemakers. Along the way, you will have to taste wines and seek clues.

ALVARO PALACIOS MASTERCLASS:

Description: Alvaro Palacios is Spain’s most talked about winemaker. Embodying the spirit and promise of “The New Spain,”, Alvaro’s L’Ermita is widely considered to be the most important new Spanish wine of the modern era.
With bodegas in Rioja, Priorat and Bierzo, Palacios is one of the defining personalities in Spanish wine today. In just 20 years, he has established a formidable reputation as a dynamic pioneer, generating global praise for his wines – in particular, those from the forgotten regions of Spain.
Dr N K Yong will be moderating this unique master class that will see 1,000 SGD worth bottles like the truly unique L’Ermita or Finca Dofi on the tasting.
After retiring from medicine in 2004, Dr Yong pursued his fervour for vintages and travels across the globe to visit many vineyards and vintage-making facilities. He believes that a good vintage should reflect the grape type, terroir, vintage’s distinctive character and exude the honesty of the vines and chateau. Since 1988, he has been a regular oenological columnist for The Business Times in Singapore and was honoured by the French government with the Officer de l’Ordre du Mérite Agricole for his service to the International Wine & Food Society in 1989.

Bustling with the energy and atmosphere of a lively Mediterranean Market, wine and culinary connoisseurs can expect the best Mediterranean herbs, spices and olive oil and traditional recipes, perfectly paired with complementary wines.
Taking inspiration from the festivals and markets in Provence and Barcelona, enjoy a dish created exclusively by Michelin star chef Jean- Andre Charial.
Each wine maker will present their very best wine of their choice – culminating in a total of 24 wines to try.
