'A Day With Wai Po' begins with a trip to Fuxing Zhong Lu Market, the traditional wet market spanning over two floors. An early morning visit will allow you to get a taste of local Shanghainese life. Dozens of stalls sell fresh produce, including fish, meat, fruit and vegetables. You will be guided through the throngs of haggling shoppers by Wai Po, your personal dim sum tutor, who will help you select the optimum ingredients to create the perfect dumpling; minced pork is a local favourite! Wai Po has always had a love for food – especially local cuisine – and previously taught cooking lessons at an international culinary school.
