Silent Reflection Reboot
7 March 2019 will be a day like no other and nowhere else in the world with the annual Hindu celebration of Nyepi; the Balinese “Day of Silence” that celebrates the end of a year and the start of a new year in line with the Saka calendar taking place. Observed from 6 a.m. until 6 a.m. the next morning, Nyepi is a day reserved for self-reflection, and as such, anything that might interfere with that purpose is restricted. All of the activities on the island (inclusive of the airport), pause entirely, allowing Mother Nature and all those on the island a full day to rest and ‘reboot’. Join us for this very special occasion with our Nyepi getaway, which not just provides you the opportunity to look back and ponder in silence, but also to witness one of the most special and sacred Balinese Hindu ceremonies.
