Capella Singapore celebrates National Day with the best of local cuisine

Singapore, 15 July 2013 – This National Day, Capella Singapore celebrates local flavours with the Capella Singapore Satay Club. From 8 to 11 August 2013, Capella Singapore presents an all new Satay Club experience for diners at The Knolls, featuring the best of traditional gourmet satay as well as a selection of freshly grilled seafood and barbecued meats. To complete the experience, guests will also be treated to an international array of dipping sauces.

Starting with dinner on Thursday, 8 August 2013, diners at The Knolls will be greeted with the delectable aroma of fresh meats on a grill. Guests can expect to find local favourites with an epicurean touch, such as Wagyu Beef, Chicken Thigh and Lamb Loin satay. Staying true to The Knolls’ promise of fine Mediterranean cuisine, the Satay Club will also feature a selection of aromatic grilled seafood and meats, with local highlights like the Sambal Sting Ray and Ikan Kunyit (turmeric fish), Barbecued Short Ribs and Tandoori Chicken.

Satay is only complete with the right blend of sauces. The traditional flavoursome peanut sauce will be available along with a whole selection of sauces for all palates; from a spicy, yet tangy “belachan” with calamansi sauce and a sweet Thai chili sauce, to a creamy hollandaise sauce or a rich smoked garlic chicken jus.

The Singaporean festivities continue to a vibrant Sunday Brunch at The Knolls on 11 August, featuring the Satay Club station along with a kaleidoscope of local delights with a luxurious twist on top of the regular favourites. Some of the dishes guests can look forward to include the a French Chicken Rice cooked with truffles and served aromatic pilaf rice, Live Crabs cooked in black pepper or the signature chili crab style and a Fresh Oyster Station featuring oysters on ice and the local oyster omelet as well. Satay and grill prices start from S$3++ and S$6++ per stick, to S$12.50 per stick for the gourmet selection. Satay Club will be available from 7:00pm onwards at The Knolls from 8 to 10 August 2013. National Day Sunday Brunch on 11 August 2013 starts at 12:30pm, and is priced at S$188++ per person, inclusive of free flow wines, champagne and fresh juices.
