Singapore, 29 October 2014 – Enjoy Singapore’s most tempting chocolate and tea experience at The Knolls at Capella Singapore. Guests are invited to feast their senses on a concert of flavours and embark on an unforgettable sensory journey as Capella Singapore announces a decadent collaboration between Valrhona – world renowned French chocolate confectioner – and the Gryphon Tea Company – Singapore’s leading tea purveyor.
Available every Friday at The Knolls, guests will be charmed by a range of delectable delights that include selecting their preferred tea blend with a Gryphon tea sommelier to discovering the intricacies of the finest dark, milk and while chocolate varieties with a Valrhona Chocolatier.
The Chocolate and Tea Experience will feature an extravagant array of innovative pastries, tarts and cakes that have been brought to life by Capella’s talented team of Pastry Chefs. Signature highlights include Green tea chocolate cakes made with Gryphon Jasmine tea pearls, Black magic chocolate fudge featuring Tainori dark chocolate as well as Cognac Guanaja dark chocolate bunyols, among others.

Connoisseurs and novices alike can discover the complexity of Valrhona’s chocolate profiles while understanding the commitment that goes beyond producing the world’s highest quality cocoa. During this intimate epicurean affair, guests will also have the opportunity to preview their two holiday lines: Macae, a dark chocolate characterised by its exceptional melting smoothness with its woody, peppery and toasted aromas as well as the Bahibe, a milk chocolate that tributes a cactus flower in the Dominican Republic that offers intense notes of cocoa before revealing a fruity tanginess. In addition, Gryphon Tea will also be launching three limited-edition festive flavours which include the Winter Love black tea featuring generous notes of forest berries, nutmeg, blue flowers and vanilla, a Strawberry Champagne fruit tisane with an irresistible sweet temptation of sparkling champagne, as well as a Chocolate Gingerbread rooibos tea that blends pure cacao, ginger and a hint of creamy caramel to create a velvet finish.
The Chocolate and Tea Experience will take place every Friday evening at The Knolls for six weeks, starting 21 November 2014 through 29 May 2015 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. Priced at $48++ per person, Capella’s Chocolate and Tea Experience will include a welcome Gryphon tea-infused cocktail or mocktail, chocolate dessert buffet, free flow of tea as well as a take-home memory bag.
